The Red Eye 10s International Play Festival is a 10-minute play festival I co-created in 2012 with the help of a few brave colleagues to feature the work of our fellow MFA Playwriting students at Hollins University. With the help of a jury of theater professionals from across the country, six plays are chosen for the festival each year and produced theaters in each time zone on the same day. The RedEye 10s Host Theaters range from college & university theater departments to community theaters to high school drama departments. Each host rehearses the same six plays in one day, with a curtain time of 8 pm in each respective time zone. A few years ago year we added Stuttgart to our host list and went international! The Playwright's Lab at Hollins University is a unique MFA program in playwriting designed to be more like an intensive workshop/retreat or conference than a traditional 3-year program. We foster inclusivity and collaboration not exclusivity and competition. You can get your MFA in 3-5 six-week summer sessions and work with some of the most important names in new play develpment.

YouthPLAYS is a publisher of award-winning professional dramatists and talented new discoveries. They license one-act and full-length plays and musicals, including works for both teen and pre-teen performers, as well as adult actors performing for young audiences.
