I identify as a playwright, dramaturg, and director and love teaching theatre to students of all levels and abilities.

I'm currently an Assistant Professor of Theatre and Chair of the Department of Performing Arts & Creative Practices at Hollins University as well as the Assistant Director of the Hollins Playwright's Lab, our graduate program in playwriting and new play development .

I hold a PhD in Interdisciplinary Arts & Theatre from Ohio University with a focus on intersectional feminist theatre and playwriting as well as an MFA in Playwriting from The Playwright’s Lab at Hollins University and a B.F.A. in Acting from Marymount Manhattan College in New York City. 

 

For over thirty years, I have created and taught theatre in Europe and the U.S. My work has been shared in Germany, Indian, The Netherlands, Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Ireland, and across the U.S. I've been published by Smith & Krauss, Theatrefolk, and YouthPLAYS and am currently a resident playwright at First Look Buffalo Theatre Company.

 

I'm also a proud member of the Dramatists Guild and Women & Theatre Program+ Allied Feminist Coalition.
